Programs

THRIVE programs respond to what youth have said they need: practical, engaging, skill-based learning that prepares them for life beyond high school. THRIVE is designed to help youth grow, connect, and receive support while participating in opportunities that will propel them into their next chapter of life.
The SYLC youth will evaluate community conversations regarding youth programming, plan their own community service or community conversations, participate in hands-on leadership opportunities, and build their social-emotional life skills through this program.
The Shaker Heights Youth Center, in collaboration with the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Cleveland (UUCC), oversees this after-school program for Shaker Heights Middle School students. The program focuses on increasing social skills, life skills, and academic competence.
